ABOUT YOUTH CONNECT
Youth Connect empowers young people, and offers advice, coaching and support across a wide range of activities at locations in Walsall.
We engage with Walsall's youth through gaming, music, board games, table games and other activities in a youth centre environment. Here they have the space to discuss the issues important to them, meet others and have a space to call their own. We also get them involved outdoor sports at the weekend.
Everything we offer is free and delivered by experienced youth workers - some even used to attend our sessions when they were younger.

WHAT WE OFFER
Anyone aged between 8 and 19 can attend our weekly events. Some sessions are for juniors and some for seniors.
Our events take place at one of our youth hubs or at one of our outdoor sports sites.
All our centres have gaming consoles and space to play pool, table football, table tennis and board games. There are also areas to uncover artistic streaks in our art and craft sessions, or just relax with friends.
OUTDOOR SPORTS SESSIONS
We offer a range of sports at these sessions including five-a-side football, basketball, tennis or cricket. No one needs to be Salah, Pogba or Moeen Ali - all levels are welcome.
INDOOR SPORTS SESSIONS
Whatever the weather, our indoor sessions offer the chance to enjoy a game of five-a-side football, indoor cricket, tennis, basketball or badminton. From beginners to pros, we've got something for everyone.
TRIPS AND ACTIVITIES
Throughout the year we offer fun days out, special activities such as tips to theme parks and exciting, challenging outdoor residential weekends.
In addition to the weekly sessions that are open to all under the age of 19, we are involved in the following programmes which offer additional support to young people.
DETACHED OUTREACH PROJECT
Our outreach project is focussed on the streets where youth workers chat to young people within the community.
Our detached programmes vary throughout the year depending on what's happening locally, and take place in different parts of Walsall.
THE MENTORING PROGRAMME
We offer a 16-week one-ton-one programme where our trained counsellors offer advice and support to young people in Walsall. We offer this to those who meet the referral threshold.
